This item was filled under [ Musings, Portfolio, There's No Place Like London ]

So we’re watching a series of videos about Tony Blair’s time as prime minister in one of my classes. Today, we looked at his military endeavors and the time when the Blair Doctrine was being formed.
As a loose refresher, the Blair Doctrine is the idea that nations should go to war, not for territorial interests, [...]

Legality of Teen “Sexting”: Is it Child Pornography?

Here’s an interesting blog post over at the Wall Street Journal law blog, looking at whether teens that take nude pictures of themselves that then are distributed by someone else should be charged with child pornography. I’m not addressing the specific cases within the post- though I’ve read them and I think each case over [...]

Grown Up Shoes/Wicked-Awesome Playtime Shoes

I was considering writing a very in-depth look at how the shoes I bought today represent my approach to life and work and journalism and such- and I actually came up with the major narrative and arguments for the extended metaphor- but I’m just too distracted by Notting Hill to do it proper justice. Hugh [...]

Snuffleupagus on a Wall: A Few Attempts at Hotel Style

Hah my last post totally reminded me of something from my Spring Break trip
Aram and I stayed two nights at this really cool hotel in Cardiff called “The Big Sleep.” (Apparently it’s some sort of old Hollywood movie reference.)

It’s designed to be a cheap place to stay that’s good quality and tones down any non-necessities, [...]

The article goes into detail- explaining that though in the past, the law profession has seemed mostly immune to economic recessions, it’s been hit particularly hard by [...]

Save Trees: Use Paper Made out of Sheep Poo

Took this in the Cardiff Castle shop. The paper is literally made out of sheep poo. Isn’t it amazing?

In other news, Welsh is a really awesome language!

See? Wouldn’t this be awesome if I knew Welsh?

And in Cardiff, we found the largest Welsh lovespoon in the world!
Yeah, bit of a random post, but what’ll you do. [...]

There are Too many awesome links online today

For me not to blog about them. This’ll be quick as I have to get to work soon and I don’t want to be late.
In case you missed my new-found pink dolphin passion all over facebook (I might have formed a Fellowship of the Pink Dolphin group and invited 300 of my closest friends…), here’s [...]
